Pine Ponderosa (Pinus ponderosa) - Tree Seedling

It is a large crowned tree characterized by a straight trunk with branches present mostly on the top-half of the tree. The needles, which are dark green to yellowish-green in colour, grow in bundles of three, mostly clustered at the branch ends. The oval, light brown to reddish-brown seed cones grow upright but turn upside down at maturity. Very wind-resistant.
